Calendars with Postcards Already Available at Post Offices

Nov 18, 2013

The ones already puzzling over Christmas gifts for relatives or friends are invited to post offices: Lithuania Post offers a practical and original present, namely, a calendar with postcards.

“At the end of each year people usually dispose of old calendars. With intention to use calendars not only for their primary purpose, but to have them useful afterwards, we decided to turn pictures featured on every calendar page into postcards. At the end of the month, calendar user can tear the calendar page off and send it as a postcard,” Lithuania Post’s Head of Marketing and Communication Department Rasa Kruopaitė-Lalienė said.

The calendar is made of thick paper to prevent postcards from crumpling when sent. The calendar pages are printed in a way that postcards can be easily torn out.

The calendar postcards have a format of ordinary postcards. The sender has only to stick a postage stamp with a required nominal value, write the addressee’s address, and post it.

This is the first time Lithuania Post has issued a calendar of this type. The calendars are available at larger post offices for LTL 7.99.

The Public Limited Company Lietuvos paštas runs the widest network of postal access points in Lithuania. Lithuania Post provides postal, logistic, and financial intermediation services.
