Lithuanian Postage Stamps to be Exhibited in the International Stamp Fair

Since this day on, the collectors and visitors of the Munich International Stamp Fair will have a possibility to have an eyeful of and purchase Lithuanian postage stamps. This German city will host the international stamp fair from February 28 until March 2. Lithuania Post will participate in this fair after a long break.

“The German philatelists are one of the most active collectors in Europe. In the course of a year, this country arranges several philatelic exhibitions where postal operators introduce their production. This is the 16th time when the stamp exhibition is held in Munich.

We hope that the stamps issued by Lithuania Post will be interesting to collectors, and we will be able to achieve higher level of cooperation in selling our products to the residents in other countries”, Ervinas Vaišnoras, Head of Philatelic Department of Lithuania Post, said.

In the Munich Fair, Lithuania Post will present not only recently released stamps, but also the first ones released since 1990.

According to Mr Vaišnoras, the philatelic collectors mainly show interest in postage stamps featuring various technical achievements, aviation, flora, fauna, landscapes of Lithuania, and etc.

The organizers of the exhibition say they expect to receive more than 30,000 visitors, media representatives, publishers of stamps from worldwide and etc.

In the course of a year, Lithuania Post releases 25-30 postage stamps. Lithuania Post provides postal, courier, and financial intermediation services.
