Public Organization Save the Children Lithuania

Lithuania Post is cooperating with the public organization Save the Children Lithuania. In 2013, the company joined the project Saugi mokykla (Safe School). On the grounds of this project, school communities are encouraged to fight against children abuse and violence. Being the project member, Lithuania Post is inviting everyone to purchase books and a CD bearing a special label of Save the Children Lithuania. 1 litas of each product sold will be allocated for the Safe School project. An alternative way for good deeds is to make donations at any post office or PayPost outlet in Lithuania. Save the Children Lithuania, the only organization in North-East Europe and a full member of Save the Children International, has set aims to reduce violence against children, to reduce social neglect and institutionalization of children, to inform on children’s rights governance.

In cooperation with the Lithuanian Rugby Federation, we are the main sponsor of the Lithuanian rugby sevens team. Lithuanian rugby players have achieved high results on international level, and the new generation of talented players is approaching the stage. The Lithuanian rugby 7s team has an aim to compete in the Olympic Games. By support and sponsorship given to the Olympic rugby 7s team we contribute to professional development of sportsmen and encourage the public to take interest in one of the most popular sports in the world. We also endeavour to make everyone to be proud of their nationality and deliver everyone the finest moments from the stadium of Olympic Games with Lithuanian rugby team and the view of the national flag. We believe this sport has a considerable potential in Lithuania and more and more people and business organizations believe in Lithuania’s team success. A joint slogan of Lithuania Post and Lithuanian rugby team is ‘Business and sport follow the same rule: to be in the right time and place.’

In 2013, we helped to raise funds for Children’s Disease Clinics under the Hospital of Lithuanian University of Health Sciences. The funds for sponsorship were raised with the help of special calendars illustrated by children’s drawings. 50 centas of each calendar sold were allocated for the above mentioned clinics. In total, more than 20 thousand calendars of Lithuania Post were sold.

The Order of Malta

In 2011, we contributed to the implementation of the project Helping Ideas (Idėjos padėjėjos) initiated by the Oder of Malta. The young volunteers of the Order of Malta Relief Organization invited all schoolchildren of Lithuania to do good deeds by founding groups, generating ideas for charity events, and implementing them.
